Dear Ms Trzoch:
On behalf of Oakville Town Council and the Parks and Open Spaces Department, may I express sincere thanks to you and your team for participating in the Pick-A-Parcel Program.
The attention to McCraney Valley and Oakville Parks though collection of
litter and debris shows, in a very fine way, the commitment by Field and
Stream Rescue Team to this endeavor to maintain the beauty of our town.
Your efforts, multiplied by similar volunteer empowerment, result in a
town-wide endeavor that succeeds with the resources of dedicated people like
those on your team. My thanks, and those of the entire town, go to each
member of Field and Stream Rescue Team.
Keep up the good will. I hope your team will once again participate in the
Pick-A-Parcel Program. Should Field and Stream Rescue Team wish to renew
their commitment to the program for 2005, please contact the Parks and Open
Spaces Department at (905) 845-6601, extension 3076.
Yours very sincerely,
Ann Mulvale

Dear David,
I wanted to congratulate your organization on their fine, environmental work. Your kind of tasks are so necessary and the fact that they are being performed voluntarily speaks volumes about your efforts.
My interests also lie in recycling so I was very pleased to see Field and Stream Rescue Team take on this challenge at the Sound of Music Festival and the upcoming RibFest. Dianne Watkins informs me that future clean-ups will consist of separate collections of recyclables and garbage. These as well as all your other events are having a positive impact now and for future generations. Thank you. Please accept this donation.
Sincerely,
Barbara Frensch

[Withrow Dog Park Tree Donation - Toronto]
I am so very honored to represent a community as compassionate as this one. I felt that during the tragedy of last February, when little T-bone lost his life and several other dogs were taken ill, this neighborhood pulled together and showed its stuff. The fact that we care about each other and our community is what makes us a community.
I want to thank all those who donated to the fund that raised over $1,000.00 for the Ontario SPCA and The Field and Street Rescue Team for donating this beautiful chestnut tree in memory of T-bone.
I feel that this ceremony here today gives us all a sense of closure and is symbolic of our desire to move forward as a community.
Councillor Paula Fletcher
Back to top On behalf of City Council and the residents of Burlington,
I would like to offer my sincere appreciation for your efforts in
showcasing our City during the "Communities in Bloom" competition.
While this was Burlington's first year participating, the level
and diversity of public support clearly indicates our City is already
enjoying the sense of community and accomplishment that the program
generates.
Our success at the provincial level was due in large
part to your commitment to this project and to our community. Your
support enabled us to present Burlington's best attributes.
Once again, thank you for your time, expertise and
skills.

I read the news article in the Burlington Post about
the creek clean up that
took place behind No Frills on Sunday, June 9th. As the Councillor
for this
area, I want to say thank you for undertaking this clean up.
I really appreciate the time taken out of everyone's busy life to
volunteer
for this initiative and to keep Burlington a clean and beautiful
city.
Please extend my thanks and appreciation to everyone who was involved
in the
clean up.

In my opinion, the Field and Stream Rescue Team
is a well organized, grassroots community group that is committed
to undertaking projects that will enhance the local environment.
It is important to support community groups with this level of organization
and commitment since there is a limited capacity for other organizations
(i.e. public agencies) to undertake these hands-on projects

The City of Burlington recognizes the importance of
preserving our creeks, bush-lots and green spaces. I have worked
with Dave Vyse, Mark Wiedener and the "Field and Stream Rescue
Team", for the past two years on various creek clean-up projects.
The Field and Stream Rescue Team has also begun to plant shrubs
and native species of trees to help control erosion and to increase
the ecological and visual diversity of the system.
The City of Burlington supports all of the efforts
of the Field and Stream Rescue Team in their project to help preserve
and promote a healthy creek system.
