I am so very honored to represent a community as compassionate as this one. I felt that during the tragedy of last February, when little T-bone lost his life and several other dogs were taken ill, this neighborhood pulled together and showed its stuff. The fact that we care about each other and our community is what makes us a community.

I want to thank all those who donated to the fund that raised over $1,000.00 for the Ontario SPCA and The Field and Street Rescue Team for donating this beautiful chestnut tree in memory of T-bone.

I feel that this ceremony here today gives us all a sense of closure and is symbolic of our desire to move forward as a community.
