Field and Stream Rescue Team will be an exhibitor at the 8th Annual Halton Eco Festival and you can find out more about us and purchase duck tickets or EarthJam tickets for our upcoming events.

The Halton Eco Festival is a non-profit public service event dedicated to increasing environmental awareness and involvement through educational presentations and informative displays by environmentally-friendly businesses and organizations.

Visit the booths of environmental groups both small and large, or attend one of the workshops scheduled throughout the day. Learn about issues, meet people, engage in discussion, and find out how to take action!

Each year, educational workshops, hands-on presentations, action campaigns and children's eco fair contribute to this fun, festive event for the whole family. Exhibitors also offer a wide variety of eco-friendly products and services on display. Healthy food and beverages are available in the Eco Cafe located in the Gym.

EATON CORP. has a private planting at Appleby Creek at Appleby Line/Mainway. There is some need rehabilitation efforts in this area. We plan to plant native shrubs and trees in the area in order to increase biodiversity and minimize stream bank erosion. Corportations interested in "greening up" a creek near them are encouraged to contact FSRT to get their workers out for a part of the day and work as a team to create something beautiful and significant. If interested in booking a private event with our group please contact us. It does not have to be Earth Week to plant trees or clean up debris. The environment is 24-7, 7 days a week and never sleeps. We thank Eaton Corp. for their support and hope for a successful planting.

EATON CORP. in Milton have joined the team. They will be conducting a private tree planting on No. 8 Sideroad and Guelph Line. This will help increase bio diversity in the area as well as reduce silt accumulation in the tributary leading to Bronte Creek. We thank Eaton Corp. for their ongoing support.

Join Field and Stream Rescue Team on Saturday May 31st 2008 for their Annual Rubber Duck Race! The event will be held at Hidden Valley Park in Aldershot, in conjunction with the Aldershot Community Festival (www.aldershotfestival.com). Tickets sell for $5 each or five tickets for $20. All of your sponsored ducks will be dumped into the water where spectators will watch them all race down beautiful Grindstone Creek. The first four ducks across the finish line will be awarded prize money. First Place takes home $1000 (thanks to Nelson Aggregates our first prize sponsor)! Winners will be announced at the end of the day. All money raised will go towards Field and Rescue Team's efforts to help clean up and naturalize communities in Hamilton and Halton Region. ANNUAL VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION DAY Come out volunteers and members to meet our board of directors and have a nice BBQ lunch at one of our close conservation areas. Bring your families and show your support. We thank you for all of your help and this is our way of giving something back to you every year. This date has not yet been confirmed what-so-ever. We hope to have a concrete date shortly as well as a location.

GENERAL/ANNUAL MEETING for our "mudpuppy" members This meeting is held yearly so that our members may speak with us first hand in a closed forum and discuss the organization. A portion of this meeting has always been open to the general public so that they can see who FSRT are and what they have accomplished. New members may sign up with us at anytime.
